WOW!! this cheesecake is amazing!! I'm going to share with you how I did it step by step, it is so easy and tastes amazing!! I will also pop in brackets where I went for my ingredients to make it for under £5 (you all know i like a bargain!)
First off to make the cheesecake you will need:
-24 Oreos (These are on offer at the moment for 50p from Asda for a pack of 12)
-3 tubs of 250g of Philadelphia. (right this is the bargain of the century!! I got a 1.65kg tub of this from Herons for £1.49!!)
- 3 tablespoons of melted butter. (pretty sure everyone has butter in their home but if not I buy the unsalted from Aldi for 39p)
-3/4 cup of sugar. (again sugars and everyday household item, but if not then 59p from Herons.)
- 3 eggs (Aldi 89p for 6)
First off you will need to heat oven to 350f /gas mark 4/180c, Take your Oreos (16) and place them in a seal tight bag, let the air out of the bag and seal. Then roll over the bag crushing them with a rolling pin. (If you don't have a bag don't worry just pop them in a bowl crush them as much as you can with your hands and then take the end of the rolling pin and crush down on them)
Once crushed melt your 3 tablespoons of butter and add to the crushed Oreos and mix, Then place this into an 8/9" cake pan.
Next take your cream cheese, sugar and vanilla essence and beat in a bowl. Blend together with an electric whisk until all blended in.Then add 1 egg and mix for just a few seconds until the egg mixes into the mixture then repeat with the other two. (don't over mix)
Once blended add the other Oreos (broken up) into the mix and just stir in so all blended nicely, then pour into pan and bake for 40/45 minutes. I did have a spare packet so i placed a cheeky 5 more oreos ontop of the cheesecake before it went into the oven :)
Remove after 45 minuets, 40 if you have a fan assisted, and let it cool for roughly 2/3 hours then pop it in the fridge.
Now pop the kettle on, make a brew, sit back and enjoy.................(when the kids are in bed!)
