The christmas tag 2016.

Tonight I was nominated to take part in "The Christmas tag" by my very own other half Richonehullofadad. You can read his Christmas tag here

I love this time of the year so ruddy much!! Even though it's also the most depressing time of the year too.

The Christmas tag is a few questions put together for us bloggers to answer. So here goes..

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

Oooo my this is a toughy!! Every year since been little, our family tradition was for my big brother to take me and my nephew to pictures on Christmas eve, My brother used to fill a bag of pop and supermarket sweets and make me smuggle the bag in! The one film I remember like it was yesterday was "Hook" Probably more because my nephew nearly got ran over on the way by an articulated lorry at the crossing, though!!
Christmas movies are a massive part of Christmas for me, my all time favourite I think is "The Grinch" scrooge/nasty man turns good and ends up loving Christmas, one huge ass Christmas tree and houses decked out in lights.....what more does a Christmas film need??

My other all time favourites are, Elf, Home Alone2, Fred Claus, Jack Frost, and not forgetting Die hard, Before my children came along the whole of December I used to have "chritmas24" on all the time!! Christmas film after Christmas film!.........perfect!

Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Yes!! Back when I was younger we had a good few white Christmases, nothing better than waking up on Christmas morning and seeing it white over outside!! Wellies, hat gloves on and SNOWMAN!!!!
Unfortunately, Hull hasn't had a white Christmas for about 6/7 years!

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

At home, I couldn't think of anything worse then going on holiday at Christmas time, (Unless I was taking my full family with me) This year is going to be different as we generally spend Christmas dinner with around 11/12 of us, my parents and my brother/sister and her family. This year my dad wants a "quiet" one as it's just me, the hubby and our two children. Don't get me wrong it will still be special but my hearts breaking a little that for the last 30 years Christmas dinner has been exactly the same only this year it won't be! We'll have our dinner then pop over to my parents, open presents and then over to the sisters for a secret Santa and Boxing day we spend at my other brothers with him and his family.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Easy one.....New York fairytale! just makes me go all goosebumpy inside!! Its, not Christmas till I hear this song!

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Hell no, how can we do that? Father Christmas doesn't come until past midnight, Christmas Eve!! It's all about jimmys, movies, hot chocolate and cuddles!!

Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer?

Course I can! Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Blitzen, Rudolph, Vixen, Comet and Cupid!

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?

Since we had our children we made a little tradition of new pyjamas on Christmas eve! I love it, nice hot bath and then all snuggling up in our new Jimmys after baking the Chocolate fudge cake for Christmas dinner, then Hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream finished off with strawberry and chocolate sauce and a handful of chocolate sprinkles! Then an early night so we're all in a deep sleep for when Santa comes!!

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake, I love, love, LOVE the idea of a real Christmas tree oooh my god the smell!! amazing!! But the grumpy hubby says there too messy and not child-friendly! SCROOGE!!

What is your all time favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?

Dancake Rum truffles!!! OOOOOOOOO myyyyyyyy god!!!!! Have you tasted them!!??? There like heaven!! so, so good, and even better with a brew, although I can't just have two or three I have to have the full packet!!

Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?

I love giving gifts, I love to Christmas shop, but my all time favourite thing about gifts is wrapping them! Cup of tea a packet of Rum truffles, Cellotape, paper and off I go!! LOVE IT!! My little boys face in the morning is amazing and it makes it all worthwhile! Of course, I do like to receive a little gift myself! Can't miss out on all the fun, can I!?

What is the best Christmas present you have ever received?

Hmm, another hard one! One year me and my sister bought each other the exact same gift, It was a build a bear Monkey and bearing in mind I was 20 and she was 38 it was pretty spooky, But we laughed about it for ages and we always talk about it around Christmas time I think it's turned into quite a special Christmas "memory" for us.

What is your dream place to visit over the holiday season?

I wouldn't want to spend Christmas anywhere but home like I said unless my full family was going, but it is a dream of mine to spend Christmas in Disney world and New York! Maybe one-day ey!

Are you a pro present wrapper or fail miserably?

I love wrapping presents!! I'm not exactly a present wrapping pro but I do put effort into how they look!

What made you realise the truth about Santa?

What truth?? What's up with Santa?? Is he ok?

What makes the holidays special for you?

What isn't special, I love the Family time, the excitement, amazing food and drink. just the whole relaxed/chilled feel of it all at the end of the night!

That's that done, Only a week to go and it'll be time to make a new Christmas of memories.

Thanks to the hubby for nominating me, I now nominate themoneysavingmum :)
