How i rid myself of stress and anxiety.
I have two children aged 5 and 20 months and I love them with every inch of me and believe me that's a lot! Just some days are HARD!! Really hard.
Some days I go to the toilet just to see if you can get 5 minutes of peace or I'll go round to my mum's house just so they can be distracted from "me" for a while. At the end of most days, I am exhausted, I have had some pretty full on jobs, sometimes working 14 hour days with a ten-minute break in between but I have never been as tired as I am been a stay at home mum! but before I can even think about going to bed all stressed and worn out and often guilty from the usual
"mum guilt" I need to calm myself down.
To do this I just need 3 things....Just three!
1- An actual bath. (We had to live with just a shower for the first year in our house and I think I was close to having a middle age breakdown!)
3- Bubble bath, (preferably something like Radox or a lavender/floral scent, I don't care if I smell like a 70year old who shops at marks and spencers as long as it relaxes me)
I run my bath and then wallah.............Heaven!! I lay back for an hour of bliss, or 10 minutes if I have one before the kiddies are in bed. It's just instant, I even feel that ahhhhhhh as I lay back! If I ever feel anxious or stressed or angry I always run a bath and it ALWAYS helps! I'm not sure if it has anything to do with been a pisces but I could live in the bath quite easily, as long as the hubby and kids aren't joining me! I have never understood this "couples who bathe together thing" besides the problem of both been 5ft10 and 6ft3 and squashing each other...It's my relaxing time and purely my time.
What do you do to relax? Any other tips that I can try?
